New Emmanuel Baptist Church is open to worshippers of all ages and backgrounds. We lead our congregation in worship, deepening the connection to God, understanding the teachings of Christ, and ultimately to a vibrant faith.

Pastor Terrance Hannah

The Reverend Terrance A. Hannah accepted God’s call to ministry on January 30, 2000
at the age of 27. He preached his initial sermon on February 27, 2000, at the Christ United
Missionary Baptist Church Memphis TN under the leadership of Reverend Ronnie A. Turner Sr.
While there; he was licensed to preach the gospel. He was ordained February 29, 2004, at the
Fourteenth Avenue Missionary Baptist Church, Nashville TN under the pastorate of Dr. Frank
Gordon.
Reverend Hannah is a humble and dedicated young man. He is the father of three
daughters and is married to Mrs. Shalon Hannah. Reverend Terrance Hannah is a graduate of,
American Baptist College where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree and from the
International Theological Center in Atlanta GA where he received his Master’s Degree in
Divinity, and from Lee University where he received his Masters of Art in education with an
emphasis in the area of “Exceptional Education.” He currently serves as the pastor of the New
Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church in Chattanooga TN. Reverend Hannah also serves as the
Vice Moderator of the Hamilton County B.M.&E District Association. He currently serves as
“Dean of Students” for the Hamilton County Department of Education.
Reverend Hannah feels humbled by the fact that God chose him for such an awesome
responsibility of preaching the Word of God, realizing that he alone could not handle this
important task but knowing that with God, all things are possible.
